In the mid-1960s, the company was sold to Crockett Sand and Gravel, which mined gravel into the early 1980s. Father and son, Danny and Donny Rice, purchased the company from Crockett in 1993.
The Rice family took the business from a small operation to a multimillion-dollar enterprise in the course of 13 years. They began the mining of sand and pea gravel from their 1800-acre site, as demand for the high quality product flourished for its use in concrete for road projects in the highway system.

On January 1, 2006, Seven Points Sand and Gravel was purchased by Henderson County Investments. The company continues to operate at the original site.
However, in the first months of 2006 we added a second location, a 50,000-acre site on Farm-to-Market Road (Highway 85 and CR1129), 11 miles west of the original Seven Points site.
